NEW YEAR'S EVE FIREWORK DISPLAYS 2010 and 2011

Kimbolton Fireworks are delighted with the success of New Years Eve. Having fired the two largest displays in the country on the same night. Kimbolton Fireworks were in Edinburgh for the fourth year to fire the largest Hogmanay firework display from the Historic Castle in Edinburgh and West Princes Street Gardens as well as a third site on top of Calton Hill behind the National Monument. In challenging weather conditions with high winds, temperatures well below zero and the remains of the worst snow fall in recent times, the team north of the border delivered another stunning display for the 80,000 strong street party on behalf of Unique Events.

In London, Kimbolton Fireworks had been asked to fire the prestigious Mayor of London New Years Eve celebrations for the first time on behalf of event producers Jack Morton Worldwide. The display was centred on the river Thames and the London Eye with an estimated live audience of 200,000 people and a live television audience of over 11 million. Firing from 3 large barges and 6 pyro pontoons as well as from 75 firing positions on the London Eye including the Hub, a team of 32 pyrotechnicians worked tirelessly from Boxing Day to rig 8000 fireworks using 4,500 firing cues in the ten minute display which was synchronised to a soundtrack for the first time courtesy of Nihal of Radio 1. The display was hailed as a master piece and described by the Daily Mail as the best display the country had ever seen. With over 2.3 million hits this is the most watched firework display on YouTube.
